Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) refers to a group of chronic conditions characterized by inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The primary forms of IBD are Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, both of which can cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and weight loss, and may require ongoing medical management and, in severe cases, surgical intervention.
