Adverse Co-Party

A co-party in a litigation or transactional matter who, although formally aligned on the same side (such as co-plaintiffs or co-defendants), is acting contrary to the interests of a specific client in the same proceeding or deal. This adverse action may involve conflicting positions, strategies, or goals within the shared matter.
