Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma is a malignant disease of plasma cells that primarily affects the bone marrow and is characterized by the presence of abnormal plasma cells, leading to bone destruction, hypercalcemia, anemia, and renal impairment. Diagnosis is based on the presence of monoclonal protein in the blood or urine, clonal plasma cells in the bone marrow, and related organ or tissue impairment.
